Entrecasteaux and the village culture
ENTRECASTEAUX - the village is a small rural village and municipality located in the heart of the green Provence. There are about 2000 people living in the municipality, but only around 300 in the village. The village comes to life during the summer, the heart of the village is Bar Central, the small grocery store, and the bakery that are open all year round. From April to September, there are three restaurants and two cafes in the village.
During the summer weekends, some form of simple music entertainment is usually organized, with the highlight being the village's chamber music festival in August.

The CASTLE - The village's attraction is the castle, which dates back to the 11th century but received its current form in the 17th century. Most famous is the garden designed by Le Notre, known for the gardens of Versailles.
For those interested, the castle is usually shown with a guide on Sundays from May to September. Cannot be booked, payment 10 Euro/person.
WALKS - The village is not big but has small historical streets and houses to see during a village walk. Beautiful surroundings and many photo opportunities.
The river can be seen from almost the entire village and has beautiful bridges and exciting places with a rich flora and fauna.
